The organizer’s future fair dates page confirms August 12-22, 2027. The address is 2503 West 16th Street, Sedalia, MO 65301. The fair opens on a Thursday and spans the weekends of August 14-15 and August 21-22.

Keep the edition year visible when comparing plans. Some official pages have changed their header to 2027 while still displaying 2026 ticket or program information below. A new date in the navigation does not automatically renew the offer in the body of a page.

Before committing to travel, match the confirmed fair dates with any particular show you want. The hours and maps hub is the place to check later for the relevant year’s operating details, but we are not treating its present schedule as confirmed for next summer.

Tickets and discounts: 2026 reference, not 2027 prices

The official admission page explicitly lists these 2026 single-day base prices: adults $15, seniors 60 and older $10, ages 6-12 $4, and children 5 and younger free. Online totals could include fees. None of these figures is a verified 2027 offer.

That page also says Grandstand tickets did not include fair admission. For the next edition, check both products before buying: a concert seat and entry to the grounds can be separate expenses. Do the same for carnival wristbands, which should not be assumed to cover admission.

One completed promotion was Lunch Bunch, August 17-20, 2026. The official food page explains that visitors bought a special admission ticket at the Centennial entrance after 11 a.m. and returned it by 2 p.m. for a refund. It was not unrestricted free entry, and the offer has expired.

A useful next-year budget has separate lines for admission, rides, a meal, drinks, and reserved entertainment. Compare a package only after deciding which components your group will use. Someone accompanying children may not need the same ride purchase as the children themselves. Wait for dated 2027 terms before using last year’s deals to choose a travel day.

Parking, arrival gates, and train travel

The latest official parking guidance lists free general public single-day parking and a separate VIP option requiring a $5 cash donation to the Missouri State Fair Foundation. These are the published reference arrangements; next-year rates and access should be reconfirmed.

The same guidance directs taxi unloading to the Gate 11 turnaround and notes that Amtrak’s Missouri River Runner serves Sedalia. A train arrival does not deliver you to the fair gate: plan the station-to-fairgrounds portion separately and check your chosen travel date’s timetable before booking. If you are driving, choose an arrival entrance based on your first destination and any accessibility needs, not merely the shortest road distance. Photograph the parking-row marker before leaving the vehicle. Visitors who enjoy food culture should also distinguish concessions from judged exhibits. An award-winning entry on display is not necessarily something available to purchase. For the Grandstand, the guide describes accessible seating with one companion and warns that the track surface can become muddy after rain.
