The official fair website confirms October 8-18. The authorized 2026 ticket listing places the event at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds, 1207 Mississippi Street, Jackson. The run spans two full weekends, October 10-11 and October 17-18, with opening day on Thursday.
Daily gate and midway hours have not been verified for this guide. Do not substitute the fairgrounds’ office hours or last year’s opening times. Admission, presale savings, and the Patriot Pass
The Department of Agriculture and Commerce’s 2026 announcement, republished by EIN Presswire, lists an $8 presale and $10 regular admission beginning October 8. Check the actual order total and current availability through the fair’s ticket link before paying.
The official fairgrounds calendar also advertises the $20 Patriot Pass. The announcement specifies admission on three separate days, with one scan per day. That is a multi-day product, not three admissions for a group arriving together. We have not verified transferable-pass terms.
For someone paying the announced regular rate, three single-day visits would total $30, compared with $20 for the pass. Two regular visits also total $20; the pass only creates an extra saving if you use the third day. Against three $8 presale tickets, the difference is $4 before any fees. These comparisons do not include rides or food.
Current child-age exemptions, senior rates, and the full daily discount calendar still need confirmation. The 2025 FAQ is not sufficient evidence for a 2026 lunchtime free-entry offer. Keep a copy of the exact ticket terms and avoid buying a ride package until you know who in your group wants to ride.
Parking and transportation to the fairgrounds
Parking remains free in the 2026 announcement. This describes fair parking, not permission to use any surrounding private lot. The campus map page is useful for orientation, but check the map’s year and follow current traffic instructions for the entrance you intend to use.
The older 2025 official FAQ says designated accessible spaces require a qualifying plate or hangtag and that overnight parking is prohibited. Reconfirm the current entrance and vehicle arrangements if you need accessible parking, drive an oversized vehicle, or hope to remain after a late show.
No dedicated 2026 public shuttle or rideshare pickup point has been verified here. For a taxi or app-based ride, ask the organizer for the permitted drop-off gate instead of selecting an arbitrary point inside the grounds.
