The official 2026 event details confirm August 7-23, closed Mondays, at 1202 East 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205. That meant August 10 and 17 were not fair days. The event’s baseball theme connected its programming with a familiar summer pastime.
Do not use the fairgrounds’ year-round event calendar as proof that the annual fair is open. The venue hosts other events outside the summer fair, with different entry arrangements. For a future trip, first confirm the next fair’s dates on the organizer’s website, then match your hotel and travel bookings to a day the fair actually operates. The 2026 calendar is historical, not a forecast for 2027.
Tickets and discounts: what the 2026 offers covered
All 2026 admission promotions have expired. For context, the fair’s FAQ listed $2 Tuesdays on August 11 and 18, with $2 admission, midway rides, and participating food options. Those were specific promotional dates, not the regular daily price or a promise that every food item cost $2.
The official ticket page distinguishes ordinary admission from optional reserved-area upgrades at the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage.
